What is an IB Diploma?
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a study programme for people aged 16-19 which provides qualifications considered of equal or higher standard than the British A-levels, for which students are only required to take three or four subjects. Students looking to gain an IB Diploma will be required to take external examinations after two years of studying in six different subjects, one from each group in either standard level (SL) or high level (HL).
The subject groups include: one native language, one second language, one experimental science course, one mathematics or computer science course, one arts-based course and one humanities subject.
